Resources for Victims of Domestic Violence

If you have a partner or spouse who abuses you emotionally, physically, and/or sexually, get help. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For information about local shelters and other resources, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY).

Find more information about getting out of an abusive relationship, including safety planning and getting a court order of protection (restraining order).

In the new Health Insurance Marketplace, domestic violence screening and counseling is covered as a preventive service for women. You can apply for a Marketplace insurance plan by mail, online, by phone, or in person.
